The National Hispanic Cultural Center makes room for more than one kind of visit
The Barelas campus brings visual art, tours, performance and literary resources together, with separate schedules for each.

An arts campus can reward a focused visit as well as a larger occasion. At the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque's Barelas neighborhood, a museum visit, guided tour, performance or literary program offers a different way to engage with Hispanic and Latin American cultural work.
Start with the experience you want rather than treating every campus facility as having one opening schedule. The Art Museum generally opens Tuesday–Sunday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. The Welcome Center and Torreón list Tuesday–Saturday hours, and library access follows another timetable.
Regular Art Museum admission is $6 for adults seventeen and older, or $5 for New Mexico residents; youth sixteen and younger enter free. The center lists additional free-admission arrangements, including New Mexico residents on the first Sunday of each month. Check eligibility and current details when planning.
The campus is at 1701 Fourth Street Southwest. Reserve any guided tour or performance separately when required. Within a gallery, give one work time before moving on; a material or visual decision may open a better conversation than trying to summarize an entire culture. A return for another medium can add a different perspective.
